The Willowdale Redwings have made
a change to the coaching staff for the coming 2011-2012
season.
Brian Baigrie will be handing over the
Head Coaching position of the Bantam A team to Larry
Lancefield who will be joining the coaching staff of the
Redwings.
Larry and his daughter come from the
Knights organization where Larry has coached for many
years. We welcome this addition of an experienced,
knowledgeable coach who considers player development to
be the most important part of his role.
Returning
for next season will be Aslan Motahedin, Midget A and
his assistants.
The Head Coach of the Midget AA
team will be Melanie Guillemette. Melanie played in the
PWHL before attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
on an athletic scholarship. Dario Giancola, who was an
assistant coach with the 2010-11 team is pleased to be
returning to help the new Head Coach.
The Head
Coach of the Bantam AA team will be Mike Kucera who was
an assistant coach on the 2010-11 BAA team that
participated in the Provincials. Although the current
Head Coach is retiring from full time participation on
next year's team, Peter Manza has offered to assist Mike
in his new role.
The Willowdale Redwings look

Willowdale Red Wings are the girls' hockey portion of
the Willowdale Sports Club - a community group run in
the north central part of the City of Toronto since the
early 1970s.
 The Willowdale Red Wings strive to provide top level
competitive teams to play in the
LLFHL
(Lower Lakes Female Hockey League) operating under Ontario Women's Hockey
Association sanction (OWHA). |
